LOW-INCOME DENTAL CARE REFERRAL LIST

PLEASE NOTE: While we are very fortunate to have so many dental clinics and programs for low-income individuals, the need far outweighs the resources available.  We make every attempt to keep our list as up-to-date as possible, however, be aware that emergency and appointment availability is subject to change. We recommend that individuals contact the programs directly and we encourage them to follow any specified acceptance protocols (i.e. filling out the application, getting their name on the waiting list, etc). Because the need for dental services is so great, patience and persistence must be exercised.

Medicare doesn’t cover routine dental care or most dental procedures such as cleanings, fillings, tooth extractions, dentures, dental plates or other dental devices. Medicare Part A will pay for certain dental services when you’re in a hospital if you need to have emergency or complicated dental procedures.  There are several plans under Medicare, so it’s best for callers to inquire about their specific benefits by calling their Medicare office.
